Here is my first blog! To be honest, I don’t really have any specific ideas about how this blog might be in the future, there still exists some general pictures of what kind of a place I want it to be. My first blog is more about the construction of this specific corner itself on the Internet (eg. why, how, and so on).
First, if it’s possible to be frank about this whole blog thing, we should just admit that they seem quite ancient. Let’s face reality for a moment here (and take my favorite TV series as an example), Dr. Walston in Holmes owned a famous blog (even if it’s fictional), and that seems like the exact start of this millenar, which should evoke a specific nostalgia for most modern people. However, we should also admit that the existence of personal blogs and other places where people can freely express their opinions is the most important treasure to us. Just look around us, there are Tiktok, Bilibili, and stuff like that, we actually live in an era when everything and anything is undergoing a drastic and unstoppable trend of decomposition, and there are also forces that stop people from talking or even thinking about what really matters. These aren’t some cheap scary sci-fi fiction from the last centuries, the exact reality that we live in is becoming more and more similar in some facets to the envisions of some great people. Recently I was finding it more and more disturbing that I started to lose my ability to talk about these things, I mean writing solutions of mathematical problems and computer programs is “talking” in some sense, but what these talkings could do is insignificant (no offense here) considering they are merely “classical thinking” as in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, and it scares me that I might lose my ability to “talk” one day, I call this ability as a “tongue” in my mind. That potential loss of this “tongue” and a desire to keep all the things going more smoothly in my life make this website possible, though I have lagged by many things (including myself) during the building of this website, I promise I’ll try my best to keep it going and use it to overcome some worst parts of myself.
All in all, this website may used to keep records of my studies, life, and all the things I think matter when it comes to talking. The last part of the reasoning why I’m using English instead of Chinese on the website: I found myself not suitable for writing novels many years ago, and I believe some parts of my earlier education had made it hard for me to use my mother language in an aesthetic way (this is an explanation made by a weak guy, I do respect all the Chinese teachers I met, they are actually some of the greatest people I’ve ever met), so I hope using English to write this blog will help me out one way or another, but you may see that I’m not good at this, and that’s another thing I want to improve by keeping the blog.
